Rapid Machining strives to be the fastest source of prototype and time sensitive machined metal and plastic parts. We pride ourselves on delivering parts on-time, with an On-Time performance rating of 99%+. Since our Motto is "Under Promise, Over Deliver", you will probably receive your parts earlier than our committed ship date.

Quick Turn Machined Part

Our speed is based on machining to your 3D CAD data. Therefore 3D geometry is required at the time of order and preferred at time of quote. Prints are helpful but not required. Perhaps more importantly, we will inspect to your print but manufacture to the 3D geometry.

Vertical CNC Milling

Rapid Machining’s focus is on prismatic, rectilinear machined prototypes and time sensitive parts (in essence, 2.5 axis machining). Complex surfaces are not a fit. We are able to easily hit +/- .001” tolerances and can be tighter upon request. In general, we prefer part size to be no larger than a 40” x16” XY footprint. Tool making and/ or surface grinding requirements are not a fit.

CNC Turning/ Lathe Parts

Rapid Machining concentrates on turned machined prototypes with a maximum diameter of 12 inches. Part length maximum is 36 inches. Knurled surfaces to your specifications. Threading (internal and external), drilling and tapping are standard. A particular specialty is captivated O-Ring grooves.

The following shipping options are available for raw metal parts. For plated, powder coated and silk screened parts, add two business days for each finish requested.

Expedited 48 Business Hour Ship

At times Rapid Machining is able to ship parts in 48 hours after receipt of order and acceptable 3D files. In order to do so, we require a 3D model at the RFQ stage. This shipping option applies for unfinished parts only. To qualify, orders must be received by 8:00 PM EST. For example, an order received at 11:00 AM on a Monday would ship no later than Wednesday for Thursday delivery via FedEx Overnight or UPS Red. There is a 100% premium for 48 Hour Ship services.

Expedited 3 Business Day Ship

A 3D model is required at the RFQ stage. To qualify, orders must be received by 8:00 PM EST. For example, an order received at 11:00 AM on a Monday would ship no later than Thursday for Friday delivery via FedEx Overnight or UPS Red. There is a 75% premium for 3 business day ship services.

Expedited 4 or 5 Business Day Ship

A 3D model is preferred at the RFQ stage. To qualify, orders must be received by 8:00 PM EST. For example, an order received at 11:00 AM on a Monday would ship no later than the following Monday for Tuesday delivery via FedEx Overnight or UPS Red. There is a 50% premium for 4 business days ship services. There is a 25% premium for 5 business days ship services. stage. To qualify, orders must be received by 8:00 PM EST. Standard shipment of unfinished parts is 1 to 2 weeks. We promise 2 weeks and will generally ship early. Plated, powder coated and silkscreened parts typically add 2 business days to the lead-time. Lead-time will vary from 10 to 12 business days dependent upon part geometry. Orders must be received by 8:00 PM EST. For example, an order of an unfinished part received at 11:00 AM on a Monday, May 1 would ship no later than 2 weeks (May 15) for Tuesday delivery via FedEx Overnight or UPS Red.
